Trevor Hayward was born and raised in the Columbia Valley — and has been running equipment since the age of 5. Under the guidance and mentorship of his father, he developed a natural instinct for excavation and earth work that has defined his professional life ever since.
In 2007, Trevor founded Mean Machines Inc. to bring professional, owner-operated excavation, landscaping, and septic services to Invermere and the surrounding region. Nearly two decades later, the company continues to operate on the same principles it started with: show up, do the work right, and stand behind it.
As a BC Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner (ROWP), Trevor is certified to design and install septic systems that fully comply with BC's Sewerage System Regulation. This designation is held by a limited group of practitioners in the province — it means Trevor has the training, accountability, and legal authority to take a septic project from site evaluation through to final inspection sign-off.
